HueyNoseArt

Arguably the Huey helicopter is hands down one of the greatest aircraft ever flown. The original panels are in very short supply and go for insane money.  The airworthy panels can easily go for $1,000.00 and up, which is unbelievable.
I have come across some (real) panels and spent many hours (measuring, bending, twisting and moulding sheet metal) trying to duplicate the panel for art displays.  This panel is a fabricated (accurate) replica made of thin automotive sheet metal.  Note:  the "push buton" latches are airbrushed to show the detail, but do not work.  The rivets are real, but the push buttons are simply scratched in circles.

These panels can be used as a static display (on a real Huey), museum display, VN Reunion, air show display cover, bar room conversation piece, what ever you can think of it can be used.

Note:  It is not intended for flight and should  not be used for that purpose.

I am an artist that enjoys decorating and paint Vietnam replica art. I have helped various  reunion groups with SPH4 and APH5 flight helmets.  You now can have the option to have your unit logo, call sign, mascot, Unit Name, Unit colors, pretty much what ever they want on the nose.

Special Thanks
Ralph Chapman, Crew Chief from C 3/17 was kind enough to allow me to use his Vietnam photograph and use his artwork for my project. I have other samples on the drawing board, some will make their first appearance at Reunions this coming year.
